RATING
The book addresses three key issues: explaining human adaptive functioning and
psychopathology, offering a structured intervention framework, and achieving "internal
cohesion" as both a goal and a sustained state of mind. The simplicity and practicality of the
approach, coupled with easy-to-apply techniques, make it a valuable resource for current and
future psychotherapists.
Prof. Dr. Aliriza Arënliu, University of Prishtina, Kosovo
Certainly, each theory of psychotherapy has its own practical component, which is
implemented in the psychotherapist-client relationship. Dr. Uka provides clear guidelines on where to intervene when working with clients. He also lists ten (10) psychotherapy phases of internal cohesion, thus constantly offering information for what is called "a process" and
"content" in psychotherapy. These phases are concrete steps in designing a psychotherapeutic process, guiding the therapist, step-by-step, in conceptualizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the whole process and content of psychotherapy.
Prof. Asoc. Dashamir BËRXULLI
Internal cohesion psychotherapy is a well-organized approach, first as a theorical model then as an applied psychotherapy. Plenty of techniques that are used to achieve the final aim of psychotherapy (achievement of internal cohesion for the client) are a further enrichment of this
approach. An innovative element in this approach is that the emphasize of time element. From clinical work, there are clear insights that time segments are associated. The past affects the present and the perspective for the future.
MA. Lirie LOKAJ, group and family therapist
This approach brings many innovations in its field, but the main one, in my opinion, is that the
basis of this theory is empirical. Prof. Uka has successfully demonstrated time continuity
between the past, the present, and the future. Thus, bringing the four factors into a single plan
gives you assurance when facing the client in a therapeutical environment, since the issue the
client brings into therapy should be systemized into one of the systems described in this theory:
intrapersonal, interpersonal, professional, or spiritual.
PhD. Naim TELAKU – clinical psychologist
The theory and psychotherapy of internal cohesion will teach you a lot: it will give you the courage to talk about emotional storms and darkness that accompany psychological problems, it will teach you to love and accept yourself, recall memories and events and give them meaning, it
will inspire you to find the courage to live and not only to survive, and it will encourage you to talk about dilemmas, sleepless nights, sorrow, and grieve!

Impressions from Clients
Now, after therapy, I value myself more. I've started to think differently, as I had never put
myself first before.
It had a huge impact on me. Now, I'm able to help myself when I feel bad—I don’t just let
myself fall back into that pit.
Therapy calmed me down.
I feel stronger.
In a very short time, I noticed big changes in myself.
I never thought I could manage—it all seemed impossible and out of reach. But now, I know it
possible. It just takes some effort and support.
I can say it was a completely new experience for me, but at the same time, it definitely made me
feel better every time I came to therapy.
Psychotherapy points out aspects of yourself that you didn’t know—or maybe you did know, but
just hadn’t thought about deeply."
Therapy had a significant impact—ever since I started, I've felt more motivated, especially after
feeling so low.
Now, I see everything much more clearly. I try to appreciate even the smallest things, no matter
how little they are.
Therapy helped motivate me to feel better about myself, to approach people more positively, and
to find the drive to study at university—something I couldn’t manage on my own before.
I truly believe it would be amazing if everyone had the chance to visit a psychologist. I think it
brings huge relief.
I felt very comfortable—I was able to express myself easily, and that helped me better
understand what’s going on inside me.
I was amazed by the experience of therapy—just having someone listen to you without any
judgment or criticism.
Professor Fitim is very kind—he helped me a lot during a really difficult time. When someone
validates your feelings, it truly makes a difference.
